Chapter 8 – This tyrannical CEO is covered by me.
Holding the dried teenager out of the bathroom, Gu Yuan is still a bit embarrassed.
He had confidence in himself that even in the face of temptation he could grit his teeth and keep his mind and emotions clear. But just one kiss, that was only a touch, easily and completely messed up his emotions.
Obviously, he knew that the teenager was probably just too happy to not do homework, but still, because of that sudden closeness, the mind that was once very easy to keep contented suddenly became greedy.
The bed had been tossed by them previously and could not be slept on. Gu Yuan took Lu Zhiguang and placed him on another bed. His eyes swept across the pile of special tools that were messed up for the purpose of finding medicine. His ears inexplicably hot he swiftly swept them off the side of the bed.
Lu Zhiguang was a little curious and he wanted to see them, but he was gently turned back into his arms by Gu Yuan, and he put his pajamas on for him.
The exquisite slender white back that was swaying in front of his eyes was finally covered with clothing.
Gu Yuan breathed a moment and tried to pick up his arm and bowed his cheeks to the youngster’s head: “Is it sleepy?”
The system is still floating in the ocean of knowledge, and there was no such simple affectionate move described in the small science book. Lu Zhiguang was still immersed in the joy of not having to do homework and gently rubbed his eyes nodding lightly.
Seeing that he did not resist his action, Gu Yuan’s eyes lit up a little, but he did not continue doing anything more. He just put the teenager on the bed and laid down beside him.
The time is almost midnight. Although it wasn’t clear what he had done in his coma, he knew that he couldn’t ****
He didn’t want to do anything now, he just wanted to let the other person sleep well.
The boy was already sleepy, curled up on the bed. Perceiving the quietness he still instinctively fumbled to grab the man’s hand, clasping their ten fingers together and fixing his arm in place.
The pure white bandage shook in front of his eyes, and Gu Yuan’s eyes were slightly hot. He held the hand and put it on his face, and carefully wrapped the young man into his arms.
In such chaotic circumstances, Lu Zhiguang could still remember to hold his hand still, lest he unconsciously struggled and hurt himself. After half a night’s suffering, his body hadn’t added any new injuries, but the youth who had been suppressing him had both deep and shallow traces all over him.
These days he must raise him well.
Lu Zhiguang has his own bedroom in the villa, so strictly calculated, this is the first time they have shared the same bed.
Gu Yuan held his hand, his eyes on his face, and he watched until the teenager’s delicate brow relaxed, stretching out the furrows on it, not even feeling the soft curvature of his own lips.
It may be a few more times in the future.
The room was so quiet that he could hear the long even breathing clearly. Gu Yuan kept watching him for a while until the weakness and exhaustion leftover from the fading medicine re-emerged and he finally fell asleep.
*
Lu Zhiguang was awakened by the sound of the system’s in-situ explosion.
The empty bed was messy, the clothes were scattered on the floor, the bathroom was obviously used, the table was scattered with unmentionable tools, and the host had red spots that had not faded.
The system that finally broke free from the homework became a garbled horror. The tremor shook a small bell and awakened the host who was sleeping in the mission target’s arms: “How far did you go?”
“Which step?”
Lu Zhiguang half-awake and half-asleep barely understood the system’s inquiry, responded to it in his mind: “Do not have to write homework…”
It’s over.
He doesn’t even have to write homework.
The host must have sold himself in order not to write any more work.
It was just that it was not easy to finish the homework. The system was almost dead, and now it had to adjust the self-protection parameters based on the new situation.
Listening to the mechanical sounds in his mind, Lu Zhiguang was thinking of a problem. Rubbing his eyes and sitting up he tried to interrupt it: “This is not anxious, I need a piece of the best quality Ning Shen wood. Regardless of how many points, just take them off yourself.”
The system was awkward and immediately worried: “Is the host not sleeping well? You won’t sleep well after the first time! The less you do the better, it’s better…”
Lu Zhiguang didn’t listen to him, just shook his head gently, his eyes falling on the still sleeping figure. Under the dim glow from the brain-computer interface, the man’s brow faintly revealed the weakness that wasn’t on display in waking hours.
The follow-up side-effects of the inducer were mainly on the nerves. Exhaustion, headaches, and vertigo are the most common reactions, and if left untreated, may even lead to lifelong symptoms.
The hands of the two men still clasped, and the light on Lu Zhiguang’s BCI was slightly turned, placing his fingertips on Gu Yuan’s wrist.
His heart rate was still fast, but at least it had become more steady.
He was too tired before and he didn’t have the energy to check the other side’s situation. After sleeping he felt much better, so Lu Zhiguang carefully examined Gu Yuan’s body data and compared it with the information collected during bathing.
The remaining problems weren’t big, they could be resolved with some care and attention. Lu Zhiguang allowed the system to buy a fine Ningshen wood from the mall, temporarily storing it in an external bag, and then laid down again.
He had barely slept for a while, but he felt better than before.
Lu Zhiguang blinked in the darkness, thinking about it for a long while, trying to move backward. Looking back he was gently embraced by the sleeping man, and he went into his arms.
……
Now it felt right.
Wrapped once more in the familiar warmth Lu Zhiguang felt satisfied. Dimming the lights and adjusting the system volume to its lowest setting, his tired body held in his arms, his eyes closed once more.
*
When Gu Yuan woke up it had already become noon of the next day.
He was already prepared for the aftereffects from the remedy for the drug. He paused, waiting for the headache that didn’t hit and the body that didn’t feel uncomfortable.
Gu Yuan did not immediately get up, quietly reviewing the area around him from his memory before falling asleep. His thoughts gradually returned to the position next himself and a figure suddenly crossed his mind.
Beside him was empty.
His heart suddenly slammed, Gu Yuan hurriedly got up, unable to care for the violent dizziness that hit because of his too urgent movements. He wanted to get out of bed, but the light in front of him suddenly disappeared in a shadow.
The shadow that covered the faint light brought with it a familiar temperature covering him in tranquility. Lu Zhiguang knelt on one knee on the side of the bed, his arms holding him firmly.
The hung heart finally fell, but the heartbeat was still racing.
Gu Yuan set his mind, gathered his gaze, wrapped people in his arms, and touched the soft hair held in his arms with his lips. He smiled mutedly: “I should give you a bell.”
He hadn’t felt that he was quiet to this point, but now that the crisis was in full swing and his spirit was tense, he realized that the teenager in his arms actually had such an undiscovered ability. The words were not very loud, and Lu Zhiguang looked up curiously. Gu Yuan just shook his head with a smile and rubbed his hair: “Are you not sleepy?”
“Not sleepy.” Lu Zhiguang leaned steadily between his arms and shook his head. Thought about it and added: “Slept well.”
Gu Yuan’s eyebrows slightly raised he looked down at him, observing him carefully. The juvenile’s gaze twilight between the arms is clear, the brows are faintly relaxed, and the color is still good. It seems that his rest was good.
Perhaps it is indeed that I am getting older.
This thought flashed through the edge of his mind, then the youngest CEO of the Gu Corporation swept out the sudden emotion and took the boy into his arms. He wanted to check the injuries on his wrists, but his eyes were attracted to the thing held suddenly in Lu Zhiguang’s hand.
It was a unique wine-red piece of wood, carved into the shape of a protection amulet, the edges were polished smooth and round, and a small hole in the center was worn through with a red string.
Something like this, I think
Lu Zhiguang got out of bed early, it was originally for this.
Sweeping his line of sight over he found fine shredded wood in the youth’s cuffs. Gu Yuan lightly held his arm and wanted to see if the wound was getting better. Lu Zhiguang’s wrist turned dexterously and slipped out of his palm.
Gu Yuan, surprised, lifted his gaze. Lu Zhiguang, folding his legs up, straightened his body, arms reaching around his neck.
The faint scent reached his nose, the original vertigo seemed to fade away.
Gu Yuan was surprised by the fact that he tied the red line for himself and raised his hand to support the boy’s back: “Give to me?”
Lu Zhiguang nodded and deliberately emphasized: “Be sure to wear it all the time.”
Ning shen wood is a very precious resource in the interstellar space, and only a very small number of planets can produce it. Although the Gushi Group has huge financial resources, the import and export channels of planet Gallileo have been strictly blocked by Guar. It is difficult to buy this kind of wood only by Gu Yuan’s strength.
As staff, he did not lack experience, he deliberately bought the root section of the ning shen wood. Although it was more expensive, the effect was obvious.
Seeing the serious look on the usually gentle face, Gu Yuan did not ask more question. Just holding his hand he nodded his head: “Good.”
Lu Zhiguang’s eyebrows were slightly bent, coming down from his arms he brought over the breakfast from the hotel to the table.
Sure enough, someone has seen it.
Gu Yuan slightly raised his eyebrows, his eyes flashed a bright and sharp look. The mind that had relaxed after waking up and seeing Lu Zhiguang refocused once more. He held the juvenile’s top and said: “We are not here for breakfast, go home first, I will hold you to go out.”
The house was not cleaned up, their clothes were scattered on the ground, and the bed was a mess.
Gu Yuan got up and got out of bed, picked up his clothes and put them into the dry cleaning machine. His eyes swept through the house, and his heart could not help but be numb.
Wrong and wrong, this room was tossed to such a point last night. Not to mention those who borrowed the excuse of bringing breakfast to investigate, even if he himself came to look he would feel that he had done something wrong yesterday.
Got the things they wanted, the Guar will not let him go. But, since they have already done this, they may wish to play a full set.
*
Near noon, the president who last night was drunk and indulged in the rain was able to get up. Holding a small lover who had become unable to move he went out of the hotel.
The weather had already warmed up, and the bright daylight shone through the shadows of the trees, dancing in front of people.
Following Gu Yuan’s instructions, Lu Zhiguang lay motionless on the man’s strong chest and shoulders. One hand clenched his clothes tightly as if he was afraid of life, but he was quietly observing the situation around the two.
While being gently placed on the seat of the hovercar, Lu Zhiguang raised his hand and held Gu Yuan’s arm whispering: “There are people behind.”
Gu Yuan’s expression had a minuscule change. Holding his hand in his wrist and gently pinching twice he quietly launched the hovercar.
There are always people watching around him, and it’s not surprising that someone follows them. However, the situation had reached this point, the Guar no longer had a use for him, and the rebel organization of Gallileo had another heart to kill him. The original crumbling balance had been broken by their desperate tricks. It was indeed impossible for him to take it lightly.
The hovercar intentionally turned a few intersections, going in a large circle, the tail behind it was still sticking to them.
The BCI scan was turned on and alerted him that a small laser weapon was detected. An earthquake occurred in Gu Yuan’s heart, and his eyes sank.
The person who was following them was not a good thing.
Looking at the map, Gu Yuan held onto the controls and whispered to Lu Zhiguang: “Bypassing this street, I will speed up to temporarily get rid of him. You take the opportunity to get off the car. Go home and wait for me – don’t run around, wait until it’s safe, I will pick you up, remember?”
Now without a doubt, he couldn’t return to the villa. They were chasing after him, and if Lu Zhiguang was with him again he might pass his trouble on to him.
His own life had already been set aside. As long as he could turn the aggressive ambitions of Guar into a bubble, it was worthwhile to die. But the young person beside him was different.
He would not easily let people go, but when he was in trouble, he would never drag the other party into danger at the same time.
Also receiving a system alarm, Lu Zhiguang did not ask, nodded silently, clenching his hand into a fist.
Gu Yuan pressed the acceleration button and subconsciously glanced over to the side. Looking directly at the youth a turbulent mood suddenly burst in forth in his chest
“in case–”
His voice suddenly became mute, and his chest was slightly undulating. It seemed that he had used his strong self-control to stabilize his mind, stopped his words and kissed the young man’s forehead.
Not the right time yet.
If he can survive and keep living, he will say the words to Lu Zhiguang.
The boy in the arms did not seem to have an extra reaction because of this kiss. Gu Yuan looked down and Lu Zhiguang was looking up at him, still waiting for him to finish his words.
Gu Yuan dumbly smiled and patted the young boy who was too quiet. He pointed his fingertips on his nose: “If I can go home tonight, give you a bell…”
The speed of the car was pushed to the extreme and the hovercar in a flash threw the tail behind it in a blink of an eye.
Gu Yuan still steadily drove Lu Zhiguang. Then his eyes fell on him, and he quickly pressed a few buttons with one hand and the hovercar abruptly stopped, the harsh rubbing sound screeching out.
“Wait for me to pick you up.”
Gu Yuan quickly flipped the door open and with one arm pushed Lu Zhiguang down off the hovercar.
Before the tail came to catch back up, he quickly lifted his head and raced off in the opposite direction.
The author has something to say:
System: Time to strap on a bell ah!ah!ah!

TN: so from what I can gather, having your cabbage rooted out by a pig is equivalent to the expression cast pearls before swine. Or giving a precious treasure to someone unworthy. Please let me know if that’s right, as I couldn’t find a definitive answer anywhere.
PS: I don’t like BE. I like this novel. Infer as you will.
