Chapter 2 – This tyrannical CEO is covered by me.

The whole task is actually a trap. The “fostering” is to trap yourself here and ensure that you can finish your homework.
No, not really.
The pen between his fingers slowly turned two laps. Lu Zhiguang turned and looked back at the man hoping to explain that he didn’t need to write his homework, however, he’d already returned to the sofa and closed his eyes. He quietly touched one of the workbooks and stuffed it back into his bag.
Gu Yuan’s body was very relaxed, and the loose loungewear masked his original capable and vigorous appearance. If it wasn’t for the subtle movement of the brain-computer interface [light brain] on his wrist, it would almost fool people into thinking he was asleep.
In the interstellar era using a brain-computer interface has become very common. Through the connection with the cortical neurons, the virtual screen will be directly projected onto the retina and directly manipulated by conscious thought, thus ensuring the security of private information to the maximum extent. For handling official business it is the most convenient and safe choice.
After watching the target person handling his work for a while, an alert sounded in his mind. The information from headquarters finally came over, late. Lu Zhiguang turned back around, put down the pen in his hand, and looked at this world’s main plotline that he had just received.
According to the timeline of this world, it was currently in the year 4307. The planet Galileo, where he was presently located, was invaded by the inhabitants of planet Guar five years ago. Now nearly 30% of the region had become the dependent territory of planet Guar. Although the two sides have reached a truce, for the time being, Guar’s ambitions have not been satisfied, and they still try to continue to control Galileo from the economic path.
Gu Yuan, the target character, just turned 30 this year. The Gu Shi Group under his name holds the three major mining veins of Galileo and sits on hundreds of millions of net worth. He is the entrepreneur who ranks in the forefront of planet Galileo.

As one of the commercial giants of Galileo, Gu Yuan has a lot of business transactions with planet Guar, and so Gu Shi has risen. Therefore he has become recognized as a traitor by the people of planet Galileo. There have been many assassination attempts against him, but Gu Yuan has always been very vigilant and no one has been able to succeed.
According to the current plotline, soon after, Gu Yuan and Guar will sign an order for 200 million tons of radium stone.
The radium stone mine, which Galileo specializes in, is a precious mineral deposit used in high-grade mechs that are only deployed for wars of aggression. Gu Yuan’s act of seeking a quick profit caused public outrage, but he still did not move, insisting on reaching the deal, and thus completely became the target of public criticism.
During a trip, Gu Yuan was attacked and inadvertently assassinated.

Soon after, Guar invaded once again with their newly created high-level mech. However this time they were vulnerable to Galileo’s counterattack and were easily defeated within 48 hours. This battle became the key to Galileo’s victory.
The process of winning is far too easy. Some people have doubted the transaction, but Gu Yuan is no longer alive. Gu Shi Group also collapsed after his death. People only mention it from time to time, and then continue to struggle on in the resistance under the leadership of the emerging hero.
The real protagonist is the hero leader who has not yet appeared. Gu Yuan is an indispensable part of the resistance but is only in the background. Over time, his name is completely silent in the history of the stars.
Lu Zhiguang rested his arms on the table, slamming the tip of his pen into the workbook, and thought about the starting point of this mission.
The batch of radium stone mines that Gu Yuan traded to Guar is obviously problematic. This is the key to their defeat by Galileo, so this deal still has to go through, and the secret must continue to be kept until after the campaign is launched.
All he has to do is to ensure that Gu Yuan can live, to live until the victory of the battle, to live to the day when the truth can be known.
The task is a bit more difficult, and there may be a need to replace the cannon fodder with himself if necessary.

Lu Zhiguang turned back to look at Gu Yuan again, he was still keeping his eyes closed. His sight fell on the tough lines of the man’s face, his eyes revealing a faint curiosity.
He has already understood the main storyline but still does not know how the main system has brought this “fostered” identity into the story.
His sense of existence has always been very low, and he has experienced special training in the system. In addition to his family’s elders, few people can detect his existence. Not worried about being caught by the other party’s gaze, Lu Zhiguang carefully collected the physical information of the target person, but suddenly noticed that Gu Yuan’s body moved.
When Lu Zhiguang looked up Gu Yuan had already gotten up and walked over to him.
He wasn’t sure how many tasks he had successfully completed. Only homework was an eternal obstacle. His eyes fell on his workbook that he hadn’t touched. Lu Zhiguang instinctively raised his arm and wanted to cover it.
Gu Yuan slightly raised an eyebrow, but stayed standing, putting one hand on Lu Zhiguang’s back and leaned over the table.
The man’s body is strong and aggressive, and when he bends down it’s close to the back of the youth’s neck, he could almost imperceptibly feel the light temperature through his clothes.
Lu Zhiguang’s heart was full of anxiety, and he only wanted to block the headache. He followed his move and leaned forward, his arms covering the workbook more and more tightly.
Perceiving the movement of the juvenile, a slight smile tugged at Gu Yuan’s lips, straightening up his body he took the suit jacket hanging on the back of the chair.
“After staying here for a while this evening, you can leave, the money will be given to you later. Just keep it secret for me, don’t say anything about this, can you do that?”
Recently, some people have been keeping too close of an eye on him, you could say that he has almost no pure private space, which makes it very troublesome to do some hidden things.
At the last reception, he heard the people around him chattering about the practice of the wind and the moon [love affairs]. When they spoke of that he thought it was a ready-made excuse for leaving from “work”. He no sooner thought it than did it.
Those people who stare at him are just there to monitor who he has met and what he said. If he stayed in the office and deliberately opened the electronic shield, instead of covering his actions like he wanted it’s more likely to lead to doubts. But if you check in to a room with the individual you are “fostering”, even if you add a few layers to the shield, it will still make sense to them.
Gu Yuan has never had any interest in the things on the love affair field. He does not know where you would go to find such a person. He simply throws the task to his secretary and asks him to find a student who is innocent and has few extra thoughts.
It seems that the secretary’s ability to complete the task is very good.
Looking up at the man’s dark eyes, Lu Zhiguang lifted his eyebrows and nodded lightly.
What Gu Yuan said is both simple and concealed, but it is not difficult to understand what was going on. With just a little speculation he could understand the other party’s intentions.
Figuring out that he had just come to be used as a cover makes things a lot easier. Lu Zhiguang pushed the blank problem sheet back onto the table, and planned to find something else to do, but found that the man next to him still did not leave.
Lu Zhiguang blinked his eyes.
……
Lu Zhiguang compromised and worked on a set of practice problems.
*
The lighting in the private room was not used for homework after all, so it is still a little dim. The teenager looked down and began to write, the characters coming off the tip of his pen falling neatly on the page. The nebulous lighting cast a warm glow which fell on the tips of his eyelashes, lighting them up slightly, creating a gentle and calm atmosphere.
Gu Yuan originally wanted to sit back down on the sofa, but stopped, and putting the suit jacket across one arm he placed one hand on the back of the still thin teenager.
When Lu Zhiguang looked up, Gu Yuan’s added a little force to his hand and speaking slowly said: “Sit up straight.”

The temperature of the palm of his hand was felt through the not so thick fabric, and the force is not light or heavy. It falls on the flat of his back really meticulously helping him sit up as straight as a board.
He couldn’t help but show a slight smile across his brow, Lu Zhiguang nodded obediently and sat up straight. Gu Yuan stood by and watched him work for a while, then he went back to the sofa and opened his brain-computer interface. He continued to be busy with the official duties that seemed to go on forever.
Under the supervision of the target person, on Lu Zhiguang’s first day of performing the task, he completed a full set of exercises.
When writing homework time always passes faster than one imagines. Closing the last page of the workbook, the sky outside the window shows that it’s getting late.
Dim light passes through the gap in the curtains, intertwined with the low light inside the house adding another layer of twilight to the room.
The action of Lu Zhiguang packing things up was very light, but the person on the sofa still opened his eyes sharply.
Looking straight up at the teenager, the alert in Gu Yuan’s eyes faded. When he looked at the time, he closed down the electronic shield and got up to open the door for him: “Can you go back on your own?”
Walking on the edge of life and death all year round, surrounded by various friends and foes, the vigilance of the target characters is always high, which is very helpful for completing the task.
Lu Zhiguang nodded, took the bag and went to the door, looked up peering at the man who still held the door for him, thinking about how to make further contact without raising his suspicions.
Being looked at, he remembered that the money had not yet been paid. The secretary wasn’t around, Gu Yuan felt his pockets and couldn’t find any cash, so he simply pulled out his Star Card and handed it to him: “Hold on to it, I will need to find you later, so I’ll give you this first.”
……
I’ll have to write homework again.
Looking at the Star Card, which was obviously worth a lot of money, Lu Zhiguang was hesitant and seriously considered the possibility of contacting the task object in a different way.
Seeing the hesitation in his eyes, Gu Yuan, a smile crossing his face, put the card into his hand, patted the teenager on the shoulder and with a mild voice told him: “Head back, go to bed early.”
The task is important, the next time you can find a way to not to bring the bag with you.
Lu Zhiguang blinked his eyes, carefully collected the Star Card and glanced up at him: “Thank you.”
Although the youth had few words, his voice was unexpectedly clear and beautiful. Gu Yuan smiled and nodded, watching until his figure passed through the corridor, turning into the stairwell, and then closed the door again.
The sky is already dark, and the place where he is assigned is still quite a distance from here.
At the prompting of the system, Lu Zhiguang slightly accelerated his pace. Turning onto a stair landing several figures suddenly stopped in front of him.
Lifting the bag to his shoulder, Lu Zhiguang avoided to the side and wanted to continue downstairs, but his path was blocked. Pushed back a step, the vulgar laughter poured into his ears.

Lu Zhiguang re-balanced himself raised his eyes and looked at the useless group of people filled with ulterior motives.
The guests on the upper floors are all wealthy and noble and the hotel’s security is also well done. Gu Yuan opened the electronic shield and those people have no way to monitor what he did. They can’t rush up and check for themselves so they stopped him to confirm whether Gu Yuan is really fostering people, or just pulling the wool over their eyes. Without seeing any pictures of it this is the quickest and safest way to find out.
Lu Zhiguang’s brow sunk, he tapped on the system: “Is there any way for them to believe that I am being taken care of?”
There are ways to do it, but it is inevitable that the host will be bullied. It couldn’t bear to let the host who just had to write homework be aggrieved again. The system hesitated for a long while, and finally picked out one and carefully responded: “The host can walk a little…”
Although he didn’t understand the relationship between the two, the answer given by the system is undoubtedly based on facts, but I don’t know if it is useless to suddenly change his pace.
Lu Zhiguang drops his head and is about to take action but has been stopped by one of them who laughs and grabbed his waist with one hand.
“Just one person alone in this place, won’t you be afraid? Let us accompany you -”
The tone of the other party is frivolous and obviously not well-intentioned. His gaze falling on the hand of the man that had come to block his path, a sharp look flashed across Lu Zhiguang’s eyes. Just as he was about to act the hand on his waist suddenly shook, and the person who laughed at him took in a quick breath and rushed to take back his hand.
Lu Zhiguang turned back and there was Gu Yuan standing on the stairwell, his eyes were deep and fierce, and a pure black superparticle gun was displayed in his hand, and he quickly walked downstairs.
The Galileo planet was already in a state of semi-loss of sovereignty. It does not prohibit privately carried weapons. In a slightly different circle, there are even those who collect rare weapons. Although the superparticle gun in Gu Yuan’s hand is rare, it is not too eye-catching.
But Gu Yuan’s momentum at the moment was too oppressive, and the gun was so arbitrarily held in his hands that the group of people instinctively gave birth to fear. One of them was so stunned by his imposing manner that he instinctively reached for his waist.
He was acutely aware of the man’s movements but Lu Zhiguang was too far away from him, and there were several people separating the two. Since it was too late to grab the other party, he immediately fell over on Gu Yuan pulling down on his arm, and pressing him straight against the wall.
Gu Yuan was not ready, but he raised his hand to catch him slamming into the icy cold wall behind him. The juvenile’s tough and warm body suddenly plunged full length into his arms, his thin shoulders and neck stuck to his chest, his arm tightly wrapped around his waist, and most of his body was left unreserved between his arms.

Not only Gu Yuan, but even the small group were slightly stunned by the sudden changes in front of their eyes. Originally, Gu Yuan had the idea of just finding someone to be a decoy, but he was vaguely starting to waiver on that.
In the dimly lit stairwell, the atmosphere quickly quieted down.

The author has something to say:
